Welcome to the forum of the Southeastern Simulations Server!
The server began taking shape in December 2019 with the first sessions happening the following year. The Southeastern Simulations Server is a multiplayer server that is, as close as possible, a prototypical server with operations being centered around the year 2010. This puts us several years past the Conrail takeover so the power will be a good mix. I've pulled information from various places, but the master schedule will continue to be a work in progress. If you have any information that might be helpful please pass it along as we want to make it as close to the real thing as possible.
As mentioned, this is a prototypical server with planned (weekly to start with) scheduled sessions. These sessions will be for all mainline operations with much of the yard work and some locals being available between sessions. The server will be available 24x7 with available work posted in the work-list of the registry by the admins. We will utilize a frozen clock system with the clock running only during scheduled sessions. No spawns or mainline operations will take place between sessions unless permission has been granted by the admins (noted in the registry entry). All spawns will be made by the host and are all based on the scheduled call time that can be found in the registry. DS permission will be granted by the admins and only for use during planned operating sessions. If switches need to be thrown or switched to manual then make a forum post for the admin to see.
Any train designated as 'released' from a yard or any mainline train is available for a client to take control of. If you find a train you want to run stop it and relinquish and continue on. All speed limits and signal indications must be followed as we are trying to stay prototypical.
To gain access to the registry and server information you will need to have a ProBoards account and join the server. Then you will have access to the necessary information.
Again, welcome to the Southeastern Simulations Server and we hope to see you at a session soon. If you have any questions please feel free to make a post or contact the admin directly.
